Information
At the completion of this course, the student
will be able to describe the procedure for dressing and truing a
grinding wheel on a pedestal grinder and explain the proper use
of a surface grinder. The student will also be able to describe
the proper procedure to saw to layout lines using a band saw. In
addition, the student will be able to: describe the major steps
required to drill, countersink, counterbore, spotface, ream and
tap holes on a drill press; and identify tap types and the different
classifications of threads used for fasteners.
